Hifu Body is a non-invasive FDA-approved treatment that uses high-intensity focused ultrasound (HIFU) technology to permanently destroy targeted unwanted fat.
The treatment targets the stubborn fat around your waistline (abdomen and love handles), which is effective for circumferential waist reduction, resulting in a slimmer, more contoured waistline. Hifu Body treatment is suitable for people who maintain a healthy weight yet struggles with localised fat (lumps, bumps and bulges) that they just cannot get rid of no matter how much they exercise or diet. Ideal candidates are those who are able to “pinch-an inch” (2.5cm) of fat in the treatment area and have a body mass index (BMI) equal to or less than 30. They are seeking a slimmer waistline and a reduction of one pant size but are not considering a surgical procedure. Liposonix treatment is not a weight loss solution and it is not a substitute for invasive methods such as liposuction.
HIFU relies on the fact that, above a threshold of 56 degree C (for > 1 second), irreversible cell death occurs. The heat from the ultrasound produces a dual tissue response within the treatment area, resulting in permanent destruction of targeted fat cells and contraction of surrounding collagen. The treatment does not harm surrounding skin, tissue or organs. The body naturally removes the destroyed fat from the treatment area, which may leave you with a thinner, more contoured waistline.
Any areas with localised fat that can be “pinched an inch” (2.5cm) will respond to treatment. The common areas are the “muffin top”, post pregnancy pooch, love handles for men, back fat for women, saddle bags and fat on the arms and thighs.
