Did you know that a study performed by The American Society for Dermatologic Surgery (ASDS) showed 67% of consumers, both women and men, are bothered by sub mental fat also known as the “double chin? Ditch that double chin with Cryolipolysis. Cryolipolysis, which has been used successfully for many years to get rid of unwanted fat in large areas like the thighs, flanks, tummy and arms, can now be used to treat smaller areas with the development of precision handpieces targeted at treating petite fat bulges, such as an unwanted double chin.

How does it work?

Cryolipolysis is an FDA-approved fat freezing, fat loss (cryolipolysis) treatment. It is now available with a special applicator designed to treat small or hard-to-reach fat bulges, such as double chins, without patients having to resort to double chin surgery.

This is an additional development in the fat freezing technology arena that targets, cools and reduces unwanted fat cells in the selected area. These cells crystallise, then shrivel away. Your body metabolises them and gets rid of them naturally, with a noticeable and long-lasting reduction in the unwanted fat bulge.

How long does each treatment take?

The new applicator time is 45 minutes. Average total treatment visit time is around one hour.

Is there any pain or downtime?

At the initial stage of treatment, you will experience a firm pulling sensation on the area being treated. The cooling process should then numb the area after a few minutes. Because Cryolipolysis is carried out without the need for surgery, there is no downtime and most patients can return to their normal activities right away. A little redness may occur but this usually disappears very quickly.

What results should I expect?

You may start to see results as as early as four to six weeks after your treatment with progressive improvement up to 14 to 16 weeks, but your body will continue to flush out fat cells for up to three to six months following treatment.

How many treatments will I need?

Once the treated fat cells are crystallised (frozen), they shrivel and are naturally reduced from the body. As long as you stay healthy, the long-term results should remain stable.
